Installation Views of Yerba Buena Centre for the Arts, 3-channel high-definition video, sound and concrete and detritus seating sculptures. Total running time (TRT) 11:37min.

A collaborative project by Erica Molesworth, Anne Albagli, and Johanna Hoffman for Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in June 2018. The Truth Lies... is a 3-channel video, sound, and sculptural seating installation that reveals the layers of the landscape, construction and climate alteration in the SoMa area of San Francisco. It addresses the layering of geologic time within landscapes, intertwined with the history and impact of human lives within the environment. The image and audio components fracture, interrupt, disintegrate into one another, revealing the disjointed ways in which we come to understand the complex truth of a site.
